Reminders: 
  • Pittman:  for SAT at 8AM.  The background is due this Saturday at 8am on turnitin.com.  On the framework document Pittman emailed you, ONLY fill out (a) the lower right hand corner of the cover page, (b) the background section, and (c) three sources in MLA format on the works cited page (last page of the document). Keep in mind that you must submit all lab report assignments on time if you would like to remain eligible for a P.

    An effective Background section should hook you in as the reader, while giving you sufficient scientific information. It is not a summary of the experiment, but a standard summary of your Senior Project topic, science concepts, with formulas (if applicable to you) communicated using appropriate scientific language.  Your background should have the following features:
    • Hook (an interesting opening sentence or story)
    • Summary of the scientific theory behind this experiment.
    • 3 printed research sources cited.
    • 3 paragraphs (each paragraph is 150-200 words)
     
  • Purther:  for TUE/WED ROTO bring props (for elevator ride) and look up the following issues we discussed:  avocado season, winter and tree freezing, and insect issues.

  • Senior Project:  Before the end of the year, be sure to ask your mentor for a letter of recommendation.

  • Presentation by an alumni in the Shared Joint Purpose Classroom (where we had meetings for EQs) at 1PM
  • Talent of the Masters Committee meeting
  • Restaurant Committee meeting at 1PM in Purther's
WED:
  • Prom Committee 2 meeting
THURS:
  • Last day to turn in reunion $
FRI:
  • Powder Puff Committee 3:  Cheerleaders (plan to practice)
  • Powder Puff Committee 5:  Meet in Pittman's
  • Powder Puff Committee 6:  Coaches and Players (plan to practice)
  • Remaining students go to Ortega or Ogden's room for potential house competitions
