PROBLEM STATEMENT: How can we, as a constituent focus group, suggest how to cut federal programs (without raising taxes or borrowing more money), so that we reduce the federal deficit and make a better budget.
With the problem statement in mind, what is the best way for a legislator to act in this situation and why. Your thesis statement is the answer to this question. Please provide support by using your notebook and/or any additional information. Your answer should be an argument for one or more of the following types of legislators (delegate, partisan, trustee, and/or partisan).1
1How are you being assessed? (1) Did you support your thesis with evidence (details and examples)? (2) Does your essay include an introduction (attention getter, thesis), body, and conclusion (restate thesis, summarize essential points, and most important assignment and why)? (3) Do you show understanding of the curriculum we covered in Challenge 2: Better Budget PBL and prior Challenge 1 curriculum?

Senior Stuff:

• Bring in your cans and bottles. Last day of recycling is on Friday.

• Start bringing in cans for the can food drive.

• Senior portrait pictures are here.

Model Assembly:

Research Check. Bring in two articles about your bill or committee and the WB (print the WB). It is separate WB from your senior project.  The articles should be 750 words or more.  A bill is not an article and should not be used for the research check.
